ST. STEPHEN – The County ACES have strengthened their hockey operations department, adding American Hockey League veteran Bruce Graham to the coaching staff.Graham, from Salisbury, NB, played 10 years of professional hockey in the AHL, East Coast Hockey League, Central Hockey League and British Elite League. Graham also has three years of Major Junior experience with the Moncton Wildcats and he was a second round draft pick of the New York Rangers in 2004.

He joins the ACES as an assistant coach.

“Bruce is someone we are very familiar with as a player, a leader and a coach,” said ACES General Manager Eric Bissonnette. “We are thrilled to add someone with Bruce’s experience and character to our club. He is going to be an important part of our mission – to deliver a quality product both on and off the ice.”

Graham joins a revamped ACES coaching staff as the team prepares for its second season in the Maritime Hockey League. The ACES recently named Josh Hepditch as the team’s third head coach, replacing Bissonnette who remains the team’s general manager.

“His experience is going to be valuable as we continue to build a young, competitive ACES team and our fans should be excited to see another quality addition to our leadership group,” said Bissonnette.

Graham said he’s anxious to get to work with the ACES.

“I’m excited for this opportunity to join a young organization with a bright future,” Graham said. “The ACES are committed to player development and education and that’s what makes it an attractive team to coach. I’m really looking forward to training camp.”

The ACES regular season starts Friday, Sept. 11 in Woodstock and the home opener is Saturday, Sept. 12 when the Campbellton Tigers visit the Garcelon Civic Center.
