Aces team up with Giant Tiger as MHL schedule resumes Thursday

The St. Stephen Aces are back on the ice on Thursday following the holiday break and the club is looking to make it a special night for Garcelon Civic Center fans.

The Dieppe Commandos are in town for a divisional rivalry game as the Aces look to make up some ground in a push toward the playoffs. Game time is 7pm and tickets are available at or at the door.

The Aces have teamed up with Giant Tiger St. Stephen for a promotion that will see as many as six lucky fans take home a Giant Tiger $50 gift card. The store’s mascot, Friendly, the Giant Tiger, will be on hand to help with the giveaways and to meet with fans.

Thursday’s game – which was originally scheduled for Dec. 16 but was postponed due to weather – will also include a Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are asked to bring a new stuffed toy to the game and toss it onto the ice after the Aces score their first goal. The bears will be delivered to the Charlotte County Hospital and to the Fundy Region Transition House. The toys provide great comfort to those in need and current supplies of teddy bears and stuffed toys are very low.

For the Giant Tiger giveaway, fans might want to do a little homework. Some of the giveaways will involve answering Giant Tiger trivia questions and the answers can be found at
